What's an automatic watch?
As the name says, automatic clock recharges completely independently.
Energy which allows the movement of the clock, is that date the natural movement of the wearer.
The wrist and its movements load and move the driving spring of the movement allowing the watch to hold time optimally.
With each movement of the wrist, the rotor of the movement turns and drives a gear.
It is natural that the rotor must be of a very heavy material, such as gold, tungsten or platinum, so that light wrist movements can start charging of the timepiece.

Can I charge my automatic watch manually?
Only if the movement you have chosen has the possibility of manual charging.
This is the case with most hand watches on the market, and it is a very useful feature if the watch is not used regularly.
If this option is not available in the chosen timepiece, and should this stop due to unusability, simply shake it slightly until the hands return to move and follow their rhythm.

Another reason to love an automatic?
Unlike manual winding watches, the drive spring of automatic movements is not subject to damage or breakage if the crown is turned too many times.
The movement will not be affected by this "mechanical" action, thanks to the spring called "brida", able to slip the spring inside the case to avoid damage once the charge is maximum.
