Hugely popular since its inception and now in its fourth year of limited edition release, the Seiko Prospex Black Series draws inspiration from the mysterious world of night diving.The 2022 series is inspired by key moments in Seiko's diving legacy - 1965, 1968 and 1970 - this particular design is a modern take on the 1970 watch.
The modern reinterpretation of the 1970 Diver watch was dubbed the “Captain Willard” by fans after Martin Sheen’s character who wore it in the movie “Apocalypse Now.”The original 1970 Diver's watch was worn by Japanese explorer Naomi Uemura, the first man in the world to climb the highest peaks on all five continents, wearing a Seiko dive watch while doing so.
Lumibrite-coated indexes and hands ensure greater visibility in the dark world of the night sea, allowing you to clearly read the time in dark conditions.This timepiece comes with an additional silicone strap and a limited edition box.
