Assemblato a mano dagli esperti orologiai di Seiko, questo nuovo Speedtimer è animato dal calibro 8R48, un movimento cronografico con ruota a colonne e innesto verticale. Il meccanismo di azzeramento utilizza un martello a tre bracci, che permette il ritorno istantaneo a zero di tutte le lancette cronografiche. Ispirato al modello cronografo automatico del 1972, è stato rivisitato per aggiungere un tocco di eleganza e un look più sportivo.
