The Presage SPB311J1 is powered by caliber 6R38, a new caliber from the 6R movement family. It is specially designed to allow the wearer to admire the oscillation of the escapement through the aperture located at 9 o’clock. It also offers a 70-hour power reserve. Like all watches in this collection, this dial features the Asanoha, or hemp leaf, pattern that has been used on Japanese textiles since the Heian period, over a thousand years ago. While the case retains the strength and angularity that give the collection its distinctive look, it features a new design with a mirror finish between the top and side surfaces that gives the watch a new sheen. The elegance of this new design is further emphasized by the inward taper of the case. This watch is equipped with caliber 6R21, which features day, date and power reserve indicators at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock respectively.
