The collaboration between Oris and Cervo Volante begins with three Big Crown Pointer Date models. Each features a gradient dial inspired by Alpine tones and a sustainable deerskin strap.

They come with a pencil case and a card holder made of the same material.

In 2017, Kadri Vunder Fontana, a biotech engineer and experienced entrepreneur, and Conny Thiel-Egenter, a biologist specializing in nature conservation and habitat management, founded Cervo Volante. Their goal was to collect waste products, especially deerskins, and turn them into beautiful, durable and sustainable footwear and accessories. Their company grew quickly. A year ago, when they heard about the Change for the Better campaign, they approached Oris to launch a project for a sustainable deerskin strap. We jumped at the chance.

Cervo Volante’s craftsmanship, low environmental impact and vision won us over. Their shoes and leather accessories are not only beautiful, but they tell stories that commercial equivalents would never be able to.

For example, they retain the imperfections that a deer's skin acquires throughout its life and that would be discarded by other companies. These skins do not come from breeding and do not require chemical treatments. If they were not recycled, they would simply be burned. Cervo Volante works with the last two Swiss tanneries that adopt 100% vegetable tanning processes.
